Club Info: 6 benches at outdoor; (10 shooting positions indoor -including benches - used for NRA conventional pistol competition and 20 shooting positions total outdoor for NRA high-power 3-position competition and NRA smallbore prone competition); outdoor ranges 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards (indoor 50 feet and 25 yards); no night lights outdoors. No other facilities at outdoor range-no restroom or food - no cover on firing line, which is tree-shaded grass. |
Directions: South from Montezuma on Hiway 63, approx. three miles (past roadside park on left) to county 510th Ave., which is a poorly marked "t" intersection of a gravel road with Hiway 63 on the left at a farm house with a tall, gray concrete-block silo; take the left turn off of Hiway 63 onto 510th Ave. (past the airport immediately on the right), range is a mile farther around curve on the left; the drive off of county road onto the range is sudden and steep, down to parking on grass behind firing line; beige concrete range building at left end of firing line.

Go to Flatwoods on I-79 at exit 67 get off, turn to the
stop light,then turn left at the light go straight ahead about half a mile ,as
you crest a small hill and start down the other side you will see an old
equipment lot on your right ,just ahead of that a church on your left house of
prayer something, with a blue sign..at the church make a hard right back under
the hill on salt lick road ,follow the road a mile or less , just as you come in
sight of a barn with a black horse painted on the side of it. there is a
black sign reading Braxton County Gun Owners Range on the
left, head up that gravel road.cross the RR tracks and you are there. |
